SO IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING LYING AROUND THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE,…OUR MAN PAUL KENNA WILL COLLECT AND STORE TILL WE LOAD THE VAN FOR THE TRIP.

On Sunday 20th of October the farmlands in the shadow of Kilbline Castle and the Steeple of Tullaherin will be the setting for the worlds largest gathering of tractor mounted hedge cutters. The first of its kind, this spectacle will see hundreds of tractors and hedge cutters converge here from all over Ireland to set a Guinness World Record.The day will also host the 2nd All Ireland Hedge Cutting Championships, with last years winner Peter Byrne from Castledermot there to defend his title.
Other activities will include tractor pulling, corn threshing, vintage rally, rural craft marquee, model marquee, modified car show, childrens entertainments, childrens art competition, refreshemnts, trade stands & much much more.
Admission is €10, children are free.
Proceeds from the day will be given to the LauraLynn Charity which is Irelands only childrens hospice.

It simplified assembly of the Model T’s 3,000 parts as it created 84 distinct stages carried out by groups of workers.
A rope pulled the vehicle chassis down the line. The new process cut the assembly time for a car from 12 hours to around 90 minutes.
That reduced the cost so much that the company was able to drop the price of the Model T from $850 to under $300.
Eventually, Ford built a Model T every 24 seconds and sold more than 15 million of them worldwide by 1927.
