Original Garden of Ireland Run

2016

September 24th & 25th

Dear Vintage Enthusiast,

You are invited to join us for our 8th annual ‘Original Garden of Ireland Run’ taking place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of September this year. 2016 sees some small changes to our event, we do hope you like them !

Our run begins and ends on Saturday at the Glendalough Hotel set in ‘the valley with the two lakes’, Glendalough is one of Wicklow’s most visited locations. Participants will travel through scenic County Wicklow at a leisurely pace stopping en route to soak up the atmosphere and chat to fellow enthusiasts along the way.

Saturday evening we will all return to the Glendalough Hotel for the presentation of our participants commemorative award and our John Nolan memorial plaque. The evening is then your own to do as you will. BVCC members will be on hand so you can join us while we relax after the day or take a walk in the fabulous setting of Glendalough, dine in the Glendasan River restaurant or Casey’s cosy bar, chat with fellow vintage enthusiasts, enjoy the ceol & craic, the choice is yours !

Accommodation is limited in the Glendalough Hotel so I would urge you to book immediately on 0404 45135 quoting Bray Vintage if you wish to secure a room (subject to event registration). There is also plenty of alternative accommodation in the area which you can find at www.glendalough.ie.

Sunday will see a short leisurely run finishing at the Beehive Inn just off the M.11 for our ‘Vintage & Classic show’ a static display of all vintage and classic vehicles with a special Wicklow Nl Reg. Gathering. This will be the second year of this very successful event with donations on the day going to COPD Support Ireland.

So we would be delighted to welcome you to County Wicklow for our relaxing vintage weekend ! Should you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of Bray Vintage Car Club or check out our facebook page.

Best Regards, Daphne Connolly
