On the 28th and 29th of June next, the ‘Ireland Heads West for Emma’ Classic & Vintage Show takes place in Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway. To date there has been a huge interest in the show, with up to forty steam engines already confirmed to attend. Along with the numerous car clubs already booked in, this promises to be one of the biggest events of the year as enthusiasts rally to show their support for young Emma. A number of side attractions already confirmed include the first 2014 round of the Irish Vintage Scene Ferguson 20 Tractor-Building Competition, an original working ‘Connemara Potion’ (using water, of course!), timber-sawing by steam engines and also steam-powered stone crushing. The event, which runs from 3pm on the Saturday, will have a host of musical entertainment and many other attractions, so it will be well worth the trip to the West.
A very special display of vehicles previously featured in Irish Vintage Scene will also take place, and we are calling on all previously featured vehicles to make a special effort to attend. With a good number already confirmed, this will be a unique opportunity to see these stars ‘in the flesh’.
It is very important that exhibitors pre-register for this event so as to help organise the layout of the venue. If registering to be on your club stand or on the Irish Vintage Scene display, please state this on the club line on the booking form. You can register below or, at the Irish Vintage Scene stand at any upcoming event, or by downloading the form below and posting it in.
Camping area, large autojumble & trade stand area.
Calling all Former Irish Vintage Scene Feature Vehicles: we want as many ex-feature vehicles as possible to create a once-in-a-lifetime display! Just put “Irish Vintage Scene” on the ‘club stand’ when registering your vehicle.
