There is an upcoming event I thought you and your fellow car enthusiasts might be interested in.
The Cannonball Race (www.cannonball.org) is taking place on the 9th – 11th September. They are kicking off from Merrion Square in Dublin but the official kick off will be in Mondello Park on Friday 9th September from 10:30 – 12:00. There will be some truly amazing cars on show so I thought you might like to pass this onto your members to go along and see some very unique cars up close and personal!
Cannonball Ireland is the annual gathering of supercar enthusiasts who drive in convoy on this adventurous and picturesque road trip around Ireland, raising funds for charity.
Good fun for a good cause, four-wheeled masterpieces and their roaring melody is what it is all about. The most prestigious and unique cars of the world will be parading through the breathtaking landscapes and charming cities and towns of the 2011 route; making this the most memorable motorised masquerade you have ever seen.
There will be no winner except for the Barretstown Camp Foundation and the thousands of kids who benefit it’s program every year.
As we are the charity that is benefiting from this so we’re just trying to get as many people as we can to Mondello Park on the Friday 9th to check out the cars, have a bit of a fan fair as they head off. It’ll only be on for about an hour, but well worth a visit. Would you be able to promote this amongst your fellow members, or indeed let colleagues, friends and family and anyone who’d like to come along and check out the cars! It really a case of the more the merrier!
Hope you can all come!
Many thanks for your help with this, hope you see you out en force on the day
Much appreciated
Emma
