57th VETERAN, VINTAGE & CLASSIC CAR RALLY

The 57th Leinster Veteran, Vintage & Classic Car Rally will be a 1 day event, starting adjacent to the Bandstand on Bray Promenade.
We will drive through County Wicklow for 55 miles and there will be a short stop for refreshments and refueling on route.

Although there is a competitive element to the event the emphasis will be on enjoyment and fun, while the more serious minded can concentrate on the navigation and maintain an average speed as per their class. The winner on the Road Section will receive the Dudley Colley Memorial Trophy.
The less serious minded competitors can follow the route at their leisure and enjoy the ambience along the way, at Avondale House and also in Belmont Demesne where the main “Concours” Section of the Rally will be judged.

Competitors are encouraged, if possible, to take out their pre-war cars. There will also be prizes for best period costume – so use your imagination and drag out those old furs, plus fours etc., and dress up for the occasion.

START – Cars will assemble at 10 a.m. Sunday 10th July adjacent to the Bandstand on Bray Promenade where scrutiny will be carried out and Final Instructions issued. The first car will depart at 11.00a.m. and thereafter at 1 minute intervals.

REFRESHMENTS – There will be a short stop for refreshments in Avondale House Rathdrum. Competitors are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds of Avondale House, or alternatively refreshments can be purchased in the café.

FINISH/PRIZE GIVING – The Barn, Walled Garden, ‘Belmont Demesne’, Templecarrig, Delgany, Co. Wicklow at 5.30 p.m.
