The Waterford & Suir Valley Railway is a community heritage project. Our narrow gauge railway runs along 12 kilometres of the abandoned Waterford – Dungarvan line.
At our train station, located just outside the village of Kilmeaden, a restored railway carriage serves as the ticket office and shop. Light refreshments are available with seating for 20 persons. All facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Christmas is a very special time at the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway. Santa visits the station every year with his helpers to meet as many children as he can.
You and your family are invited to board the Santa Express at Kilmeadan Station and set off on an exciting journey to visit Santa in his railway cottage. The Elves will bring you to meet Santa where you can tell him what you would like him to bring you for Christmas. He will have a present for you if you have been good!

Sunday 5th, 12th and 19th December
